Convergent Systems
General Warranty & RMA Policy
Effective Date: 1 January 2026
Applies to: All products distributed by Convergent Systems (S) Pte Ltd unless a brand-specific warranty policy (e.g.Palit, Nintendo) states otherwise on the relevant brand page.
Our Role
Convergent Systems provides aftersales service, product repairs, and replacements according to the warranties offered by the manufacturers and brand owners we represent. We do not offer an independent warranty. The manufacturer’s warranty terms apply, and this RMA policy sets out the process for accessing those warranty services through us.
This limited manufacturer warranty does not affect any legal rights you are entitled to under applicable laws.
1. Warranty Service — Carry-In Basis
All warranty service is provided on a carry-in basis.
The customer is responsible for delivering the product to:
Convergent Systems (S) Pte Ltd
Service Centre
9 Ubi Crescent
Singapore 408572
You bear all transportation costs and transit risks associated with delivering the product to us. Convergent does not reimburse courier charges, postage fees, taxi fares, fuel costs, or any other travel or transport expenses.
2. If You Choose to Ship the Product
If you are unable to visit in person and choose to ship the product, the following conditions apply:
2.1 Packaging
You must ensure the product is securely and adequately packaged to withstand standard courier handling. We strongly recommend using the original packaging. Any physical damage sustained during transit due to inadequate packaging will be classified as user-induced damage, which is not covered under warranty. Claims for products that arrive physically damaged may be rejected.
2.2 Tracking and Insurance
You must use a tracked and insured shipping method. Convergent is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. We cannot process warranty claims for goods we have not physically received. If an item is lost in transit, your recourse is against your chosen courier’s insurance, not against Convergent.
2.3 Proof of Delivery
You bear the burden of proving that the product was delivered to our service centre. A tracking number showing successful delivery is required before any warranty claim can be processed.
3. What the Warranty Covers
Unless a brand-specific policy provides broader coverage, the warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by accident, negligence, misuse, or improper handling
- Damage caused during transit (including inadequate packaging)
- Damage resulting from unauthorised modifications, repairs, or tampering
- Products with serial numbers that have been altered, defaced, or removed
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or consumable parts
- Damage caused by use with non-standard or incompatible accessories
- Software issues, data loss, or configuration problems
- Products purchased outside Singapore or not intended for the Singapore market
4. Proof of Purchase
A valid proof of purchase (receipt or invoice showing the date of purchase and seller) is required for all warranty claims. Convergent reserves the right to reject claims where proof of purchase cannot be produced or is insufficient.
5. What Happens After We Receive the Product
- We will inspect the product to confirm the defect and determine whether it is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
- If covered: we will repair or replace the product (or arrange the same through the manufacturer) at no charge for the repair/replacement itself.
- If not covered: we will provide a quotation for paid repair. If you decline, you may opt to collect the device or have our team dispose of it using a certified E-waste recycling company.
- Replaced parts become the property of Convergent or the manufacturer.
- The warranty period does not extend or renew as a result of any repair or replacement.
6. Unclaimed Products
If a product is not collected within 6 months after we notify you that it is ready (or after a repair quotation is issued), it may be disposed of without further notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Convergent Systems (S) Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use any product, whether or not Convergent has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Cap 52A) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
8. Changes to This Policy
Convergent reserves the right to update this policy at any time without prior notice. The version published on this page at the time of your warranty claim applies. Please check this page before submitting a claim.
